Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia is one of the reputable universities acknowledged for its students’ prestigious achievements. Being university of the champions has been the credo since the students succeeded to win numerous competitions on national and international level.
The students won the gold medal for English Debate in Asian English Olympics, outperformed other varsity teams from Asian countries. They also won the first grade for English debate in National University Debating Championship and represented Indonesia in World University Debating Championship in Philippines. In addition, the students won the National Robotic Contest for drone category that makes the university acknowledged as the pioneer of drone in Lampung.
In the collaborative research done by the lecturers and students, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia focuses on the development of alternative power plant using solar energy. In agro-industry sector, they won the research and development competition held by the Government Development Planning Agency in developing power threshers that have been utilized in some farming areas.
The achievements in academic and research field have resulted in attaining grade A and B for all study programs accredited by National Accreditation Body and won the respected award as ICT’s Smartest Campus in Lampung. Excelling in non-academic achievements such as winning Southeast Asia Karate Championship and Bali International Choir Festival and various national sports competition becomes the additional strength of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia.
Founded by Dr. HM. Nasrullah Yusuf in 1986, the institution has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia started as a course with only two chalk boards, 50 wooden chairs, typewriters, and limited programs in English, Accounting, Guidance Learning and Typing.
In 2017, the College of Teknokrat transformed into university which consists of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK), the Faculty of Arts and Education (FSIP), and the Faculty of Economy and Business (FEB) on the 19th of January under the decree of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.
